What was your favorite Golden Globes Look on the red carpet?
Our thoughts on each look…
Lorde looks stunning, youthful and comfortable in what she is wearing. The most important thing on the red carpet or at any formal event is to wear something that feels like ”YOU’ it will show thru as you walk and pose for photos.
Jenna looks beautiful and fresh, however I am not a huge fan of this dress for an event in January. I think the light yellow just looks like it should be worn sometime after March. Her makeup and hair is perfection! Simple hair style and her eyes are mesmerizing.
I love this dress mostly because of the texture and the belt, however I am not sold on the styling. Her clutch seems to be trying to match the fabric (not a fan of matching), and the earrings would have been enough. The ring and bracelet and all the jewels on the clutch are overboard.
We see again simple light makeup, however I think she could have used a bit more color in her cheeks and a nice rich berry color lip would compliment her dress. The hair down and loosely styled, I love.
This just went terribly wrong.
It isn’t flattering and Im not sure that the fit is correct either and her stance is awkward, it just seems that she is so uncomfortable.
I will admit that the hair and make-up look amazing.
Always looking beautiful, Emma Stone looks modern version of a tuxedo pant mixed with a little vintage inspired top.
Emma always wears the most fabulous lip color and on trend this year is a rich brick color with a matte finish. Simple lightly styled hair again graces the red carpet.
Claire Danes seems to be at a different event then everyone else. Im not sure what to say about this look, but it just seems like a mess. The fit does not do her justice, and we all know Claire Danes has an amazing figure, so why hide it under all that fabric and pattern. There is absolutely no shape or waistline to this dress and the earrings look like a craft project.
Her make-up and hair look simple and pleasant which is good, because she doesn’t need anything else competing with what is going on with that dress.
Perfection!!! Enough said.
Although I haven’t liked all the dresses on the red carpet, this one included. This is the first hair and make-up look that I thought was a fail. The hair is long , stringy, and ombre (this look is over). The eye make-up is too harsh and over powering for for her hair pulled back, and I would never recommend tucking the hair behind the ears on both sides.
This dress seems like she took a duvet cover from the Macy’s Hotel Collection and turned it into a strange cape/top combo. It actually looks a like poor detail work as well along the seams.
She actually looks like a live glamorous version of The Oscar! I just love that structure of the dress and hair style, but it still looks soft. In two words sophisticated and elegant! One of my favorites of the evening.
Kate Hudson looks radiant in white. Every-time I see her in versions of this mermaid style gown it is just perfection. I am not usually a fan of the ‘cut-out style’ dress, but it is placed in such a way and minimal that it doesn’t scream ‘skin’.
I love her hair pulled back and her accessories are simple and lovely. I personally would like to see a bit more dimension in her eye makeup. Not smokey or dark, just lightly placed neutral color contouring so the highlight below her brow does not seem so bright. Seems to make the corners of her eyes droop down.
